Add all six booking-wide trip amounts. Round each amount to currency cents, then calculate your contingency percentage on that subtotal. Divide the planning total equally by the entered traveler count for an approximate share.
Know what it leaves out.
Enter totals for the whole trip, not per day or person. No prices, taxes, routes or exchange rates are retrieved. Equal per-person figures can differ by a rounding cent; use the Split Ledger to settle exact shares.
Does the contingency count as money already spent?
No. It is a separate planning allowance added to the entered expense subtotal. This tool does not collect, reserve or transfer funds.
