06 / ENERGY

Think in energy.
Plan with a margin.

Estimate the battery energy and charging cost needed to finish with your chosen reserve.

YOUR WORKING INPUTS

EV Energy & Charge Budget

Example values are a starting point. Replace them with your own.

01 / Vehicle & drive
02 / Energy boundaries
03 / Charging price

Use the metered electricity price; any session or parking fees are excluded.

02 / THE WORKING ESTIMATE

Your numbers, worked out.

Your estimate will appear here.
Check the inputs, then build a result.

No autosave. Export a current result before leaving.

03 / THE METHOD

Nothing behind
the curtain.

Trip energy = km × entered kWh/100 km ÷ 100. Starting energy = usable capacity × start %. Reserve energy = usable capacity × arrival reserve %. Extra battery energy = max(0, trip energy + reserve − starting energy). Metered energy = extra battery energy ÷ (1 − loss %).

Know what it leaves out.

This is a simplified energy budget, not verified EV range, charger routing or a charging-stop plan. Temperature, speed, elevation, battery condition and auxiliary loads matter. Check your vehicle display and actual charger availability independently.

Does it tell me where or how often to charge?

No. It estimates total extra energy, not charger locations, charging curves, session counts or compatible connectors. Usable battery capacity is not the advertised gross capacity.
