01 / FUEL
The miles are yours.
The math is here.
Estimate fuel use, cost and a separate reserve from your own distance, economy and pump price.
02 / THE WORKING ESTIMATE
Your numbers, worked out.
Your estimate will appear here.
Check the inputs, then build a result.
No autosave. Export a current result before leaving.
03 / THE METHOD
Nothing behind
the curtain.
Metric fuel = distance × L/100 km ÷ 100. US fuel = miles ÷ US mpg, converted to liters using 3.785411784 L per US gallon. Price is per liter in both modes. Base cost rounds to cents before the optional reserve is calculated.
Know what it leaves out.
Entered economy and pump price are assumptions, not live data. US mpg means a US gallon, not an Imperial gallon. A reserve is a money allowance, not guaranteed vehicle range.
Does changing units convert my entries?
No. The selected mode changes how the distance and economy values are interpreted. Re-enter both values in the units shown; the pump price always stays per liter.
